No Peeking... Cause Santa is watching!! .... only 2 more Days.  I am excited to see my family after being away in Florida for so many days. Christmas eve will consist of me making some last minute appetizers and then heading to my aunts house for Christmas eve -Brazilian style and then to visit y friends and celebrate Italian Style and then end the night with Mid-night mass.  The on Christmas morning we will do the exchange with our immediate family and we head up to Ct for Christmas Dinner and then Christmas Game playing...either pictionary or family feud and my family gets so loud...it is awesome!!!  I am wishing everyone a Very Merry Christmas in advance in case I dont get on here but Im sure I will.   MERRY CHRISTMAS!

My prayers go out to the victims and families of the tragedy in Ct. I cant begin know the devastation and pain that they must be feeling today. And I also can not fathom the evil that laid in this young mans heart that he would commit such a crime. I pray for the babies and the adults that tried to save them.  God bless them and their families.

wish you were here !!!

Greetings from the Sunshine State or today the Cloudy-and-unseasonably-cold State :) haha But maybe that is good because it is hard to get into the Christmas spirit when it is 80 degrees out! I spent a couple days with my friend and we had a really wonderful time. I will be posting picture of the gorgeous beach we went to..I could have moved there right then haha. We spent the days catching up and shopping and just having some fun times. I wish i could have stayed longer. But I had to continue up the State, first visiting my aunt and uncle and now made my way up to Dads house. I am here for a week and he has some great Christmasy activities planned. Tonight we are going to see something called "The voices of Christmas' It should be nice. I will try and take some photos and fill you in :) I am happy to be spending time with my Dad since I dont get to see him a lot because of the distance but can someone please send back the 80 degree days hahaha Thanks:)

Day 7- Song that reminds you of your first love. ....it reminds me of my first love (crush) because I used to make my friends walk home the way he drove home (even though it was a mile out of our way haha) cause he would always stop and drive us home :) and that 10 minutes in the car was the best part of my whole day. :) my mom probably wouldnt have liked her 13yr old in a boys car but whatever hahaha...and yes I always liked the older guys :) hehehe

But mostly I would use my money to help people...including victims of Domestic Violence, Cancer victims, MS Support Charities and several other positive causes. I could change so many peoples lives with that money.... I pray that I win so I can do good for others but if I dont win I pray the person who does will good also with the money !!!

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! I am going to be blessed to spend the day with my awesome family. It is always great food,football and fun times ...and by fun times, I mean my uncle teasing everyone about different embarrassing things we have done during the year.. hahha GOOD TIMES!!!
I made sweet potato casserole and stuffed mushrooms but that will be one of only 20 different sides usually!!haha...
I am thankful for SO many things this year but that will be a separate blog later!!

Hurricane Sandy headed our way

Hi Everyone.... we are currently getting ready for Hurricane Sandy to strike. We are expected to start feeling the effects around 5 pm tonight but just from the way the trees are swaying, id say we are already starting to feel it. We are all prepared with water, ice, candles, flashlights, batteries and most important...SNACKS hahaha... We usually lose power during this storms and last year we went almost a whole week with no power...but this time i am using the Power of Positive Thinking and Im gonna say we will be FINE. :-)

Anyone else in the strike zone???   Well I hope that you and your families stay safe.  I am wishing that my friends on the FDNY and NYPD stay safe and dont get stuck working straight for days. Stay safe everyone...I will keep you posted on our progress !!!!

My birthday was this weekend and I was not looking forward to it. ( I will be writing a separate post about the activities) But these Balloons and Flowers from my friend really helped get me in the bday spirit and made me feel special.....   Even now while I look at them they still bring me joy :)

So I am going to attempt the August Photo-a-day challenge. It looks like so much fun and just the inspiration I need right now. Thank you so much to Amy at The Idea Room Blog for letting me know about it and a HUGE thank you to Chantelle at Fat Mum Slim for creating it ...I am excited to get started !!!  Here is the info on the Challenge :

n a nutshell, just follow the list, use the daily prompt as inspiration and take a photo. Share that photo anywhere you like, Facebook, Instagram, Flickr, Twitter etc.

Here’s some more details on the list, explaining what each prompt might mean – BUT you can interpret it however you like. There are no rules.

I saw the Bee Gees!!..........

........... Well not really..hahaa but they were the most excellent Bee Gees Cover band called " Stayin' alive" . Here is their link  http://www.facebook.com/StayinAliveCanada .  We went Sunday to see them. It was supposed to be an outdoor concert but due to possible thundershowers they moved it inside an adjacent theater. We were all kind of bummed because we had bought our chairs and coolers and were ready to have some cocktails and laughs and possible dancing but instead we were inside and couldnt do any of those. We quickly forgot our disappointment when the band took the stage and started singing. They were AMAZING!!! Every song got better and better and we were singing on top of our lungs . They sung all of the Bee Gee's hits, Andy Gibb's , and some other hits from the 70's . It was soooo much fun and by the end we were all standing and dancing in our seats.
If you ever get a chance to see them, make sure you catch them. You wont be disappointed :)

ps ....i know you want to dance now to Stayin' Alive :)   hahahaha

We survived

....so we survived the storm last night. We had some bumps in the road such as lights going on and off (they eventually went off for about a hour but luckily came back on before it started to get too hot in the house), we had some downed tree branches and the worst of it was that we lost internet for about 3 hours...THE HORROR haha. But I had last 50 shades book to finish, which I did so that kept me entertained while I was unable to get online. I know our storm was a mild in comparison to the storms the mid-west has been getting but we were still very concerned. Especially when my very MEAN friends started to post pictures on my Facebook wall. Here is some of the pictures that my 'friends' sent me to scare me ... yeah they are REAL FUNNY <rolling my eyes> hahahahaha

Dutchess County Balloon Festival

Here are some of my photos from a Balloon Festival we recently went to. The launch was at 6am over the Hudson River. We had to get up at 430am but it was totally worth it. The balloons were a sight to behold. Next time I will arrive earlier so I can see them being inflated. I hope you enjoy.....

I love, love , LOVE Aquariums and my favorite fish in a aquarium is always the Yellow Tang. I just cant take my eyes off of them...they are so pretty and sweet looking.... so while everyone is looking at the sharks or the kids are yelling that they see NEMO...I am watching the Yellow Tangs.....   What is your favorite fish?????
