Special stone

I can remember every detail about that stone. Probably because for a long 3 minutes I stared down at it , focusing only on that stone while trying to block out the world. I noted its oblong shape with odd rough borders, its sand color with pink speckles and the slight grooves on the left side of it. But mostly I noticed the loudness of the rock. It started as a hum but now it is nothing but screams. Screams for me to turn back, to not go forward, for me to not make that final step. And for those long minutes I look, examine and listen to the last stepping stone on the path from your house. The last stone before I reach my car and end my walk with you....end my life with you. I will remember every detail of that stone because it was the last memory I have of us and our beautiful, colorful, odd and rocky love.

Teddy's before and after... He was groomed today and he hates me right now. hahaha  I love the shaggy dog look but he really needed to be groomed!! 

Waiting for word on whether they are going to close my library or not due to this snow storm.  Once I get word then the Baking and the Dancing starts! hahaha 
I will post pics later...either of the yummy treats I will be baking OR of my tears when I head i have to go into work !! hahaa

Surprise snow :)

What a beautiful morning. I wasnt expecting any snow but I woke up to a winter wonderland. I am so glad that I had a day off and didnt have to worry about how the road will be. Instead I have decided to maybe do some baking ( I just wrote BANKING hhahaa I probably should be doing that instead but thats no fun haha). I am sitting here listening to Teddy barking at the guys with the snow plows and drinking a yummy Hot Chocolate.  I figured I'd do some writing today so expect some random posts. 
Here are some pictures of my Christmas tree. It is on my deck headed for the chipper but it looks so pretty snow covered that I think it might get a reprieve for the day :)  haha

Thank you mother nature for giving me some photo subjects today :)     I hope you all have a wonderful friday!!!    

2014-a new day

 

Resolution # 4 -work more on my blog. So here I am :)   2013 was a mix of good and bad but the ending of 2013 really did a number on me and my family. So Im hoping that 2014 will be a much better year with some major changes :)  But I will reflect on some of the good that happened in 2013 :

** I got a job that I absoultely love love LOVE. I would still do it even if i won the lotto.
** I became a Godmother (again) to my adorable sweet godson Zachary. I love him so much !
** I traveled a lot to florida and got to spend time with my family and friends.
** I was able to go Hershey Pa with my bestie Michele and we spent some fun times and also went to see Joel Osteen. His message was amazing and I would love to see him again!
** I was able to see my Packers play at Metlife stadium against the Giants. We didnt win but i had the best day (except for a flat tire) but it was awesome!!
** I made a lot of new friends in 2013 and they have all become very important in my life. I am thankful for them everyday !
** I spent a super fun weekend in Vermont for labor Day weekend . I forgot what a beautiful state it is and i cant wait to go back.

2014 I want to travel more and experience more joy in my life.  I want to visit friends and spend more quality time with those I love. I want to try new things and learn new things. I want to expand my horizons. I want to live a fuller life and I want to love who I am.
I am wishing a very happy new year for you all and I apologize in advance for all the posts. I plan on being a blogging FOOL in 2014 ! :)
